Considerations for Buzzing with Love
In our usual LJR fashion, we try to find anything that Christian families may want to know about ahead of time to address, skip, or dig deeper into. Take a look at what we found below. Our take on Discipleship Opportunities is at the bottom of the review.
- Positive Behavior: God-honoring principles are uplifted. Characters learn their lessons.
- Negative Behavior: A bug is rude to others.
- Language: none
- Violence/Intense Scenes: A bug is in danger of being eaten by a bird (mild). Not sure where to put this one but a worm mentions her ‘poop’ and how it is a ‘gift’ for plants. Told in a factual way but caught me off guard because the worm is anthropomorphic.
- Religion/Spirituality: none
- Racism/Discrimination: none
- Romance/Sexuality/Nudity: none.
Discipleship Opportunities
- In this first book in the series, the focus is love. It is no wonder 1 Corinthians 13 is recited at weddings, it describes what love is.
- Galatians 5:22-23 is a must for this series of course.
- More than any other description of love, discussing (and memorizing) John 3:16.
